Lecture Summary: Many internships had to quickly and drastically modify their programs in response to COVID-19. Many sites across North Carolina collaborated in early summer 2020 to quickly regroup and respond to the impacts of COVID-19 to ensure a safe but meaningful learning experience for the affected cohorts of dietetic interns.

Lecture Summary: Eating and digestion is a complex process that is related to so much more than just supplying the body with nutrients. In this talk, the neural circuitry that underlies both human safety and defense responses, as well as processes of ingestion, digestion, and elimination will be presented.
