“A Comprehensive Approach to Treatment of Obesity as a Disease” - Stephanie Page, DO

This deeper understanding of the neurohormonal drivers of weight gain has led to a major shift in treatment, emphasizing a medical approach over reliance solely on lifestyle modification. Updated management protocols involve combining lifestyle interventions with highly effective, precision pharmacotherapies and for some bariatric surgery, which significantly improve weight loss outcomes and mitigate associated cardiometabolic risks.
