Description of Work:
Surry County Health & Nutrition Center is hiring a full-time Nutritionist III—an exciting opportunity for a Registered Dietitian passionate about making a meaningful impact in the community. Join a dynamic team delivering Diabetes Self-Management Education and Medical Nutrition Therapy to high-risk populations, including adults, children, and pregnant women. This role offers a unique blend of clinical counseling, group education, community outreach, and program development. You'll engage with diverse audiences through school and workplace wellness initiatives, media outreach, and public presentations. If you're a motivated RD looking to expand your influence beyond the clinic—into policy, prevention, and community health—this position offers both purpose and professional growth.

Minimum Education and Experience:
Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education with a Master’s degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition or Nutrition from an accredited college or university and one year experience; or Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education and two years nutrition experience Candidates should provide documentation of registration status from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CADE Certificate) and unofficial university or college transcripts.

Registered Dietitian, Full-time Hourly 

Qualifications 

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Registered Dietitian with at least 1 year of acute care or commensurate experience
  • Availability to work a minimum of 2 evenings per week  

The ideal candidate has the following:  

  • Master’s Degree
  • CDN, CD, LD and/or LDN. Special consideration is given to licenses in the following states: DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MD, NE, and VT.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills 
  • Excels at time management and exhibits superior organizational skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates flexibility and adaptability
  • Provides and receives constructive feedback in a productive manner 

Compensation & Benefits 

Starting Salary: $45/hr; pay commensurate with experience 

  • Potential earnings for a full-time role (30-40 hours per week): $70,200-93,600
