NCAND Call for Abstracts for Poster Presentations

Have you conducted research in nutrition and/or dietetics? Do you have a unique program, project or case study you would like to feature? Consider presenting a poster at the NCAND Educational Meeting in April, in Raleigh, NC. Abstracts will be accepted for review through March 26, 2025.
Acceptance notifications will be sent via email by March 31, 2025.
All participants presenting posters are required to register and attend the April Educational Meeting to present their poster.
Abstract Submission Guidelines:

Complete the Abstract Submission Form (one form for each abstract)

Title: please keep the title short and informative (15 words or less)

Authors: Include each authors first and last name, institution/organization, and credentials (if applicable)

Margins: one inch margins on all sides

Font: Arial font, size 11 for the entire abstract

Abstract body: no more than 250 words (this does not include title and author/institution);

Preferred Abstract Format:
-
Introduction: provide objectives and the purpose of the research.

Materials and methods: describe the design and instruments used in the research.

Results and discussion: present data and describe the key findings from the study; data presented should support the key findings.

Discussion and conclusions: summarize the research being presented and the implications of the findings.

Tables and Images: a maximum of 2 tables and 2 images is preferred

Conflict of interest / funding disclosure must be noted

Any abstracts that contain significant typographical or grammatical errors may be disqualified
Presenter Responsibilities:

Required to attend the NCAND Educational; Meeting and be present throughout the poster session.

Responsible for expenses incurred for their presentation, such as production and shipping (Note: we will provide a place to hang and display your poster).

Responsible for paying the appropriate meeting registration fee plus all personal expenses, travel and hotel, etc.

It is the presenting author's responsibility to inform coauthors that the abstract has been accepted.

Poster size should be no larger than 4 foot high by 8 foot wide

Please dismantle and remove all of your materials after the close of the session. Any posters remaining after the close of the presentation will be removed and discarded.
