Taylor Soloff Scholarship

Taylor Soloff was a dedicated dietitian and an integral member of the Charlotte Dietetic Association (CDA), who selflessly volunteered her time and energy to serve on the board and contribute to advancing our profession. Taylor was a clinical dietitian at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte (now Atrium Health) for more than 7 years working mostly with oncology patients. Through her position as Volunteer Events Coordinator with CDA, she gave back to the community and our profession in more ways than we can count.

After a long and hard fought battle with cancer, Taylor was taken from us too soon in November 2016. By creating this scholarship, we want to honor Taylor and ensure that her legacy will not be forgotten.

Two NCAND student members will each be awarded the Taylor Soloff Scholarship on March 4th at our Regional Meeting (virtual). One will be from the Charlotte area, and one open to all student members of NCAND. Both will receive $500. Recipients can self-nominate or be nominated by peers. When applying or nominating someone, please make sure the following criteria are met:

  • Active NCAND Member

  • Resume

  • 1 Professional Letter of Recommendation

  • Personal Statement highlighting your commitment to volunteerism

Deadline for submission is March 15, 2024
